As a not-for-profit organization, The Ship makes use of fundraising events in order to cover the costs of running our business.

Our community fundraising events are a great opportunity to be involved in the Parrsboro community year-round!

Our regular fundraising events occur five times a year & are always lots of fun.

Parrsboro Shore Adventure for Four Raffle Basket

Our Parrsboro Shore Adventure for Four raffle tickets are just $50, with a prize value of over $3000!

We are so grateful to be surrounded by so many amazing people and businesses within our community. If you or people you know haven’t experienced the full extent of what Parrsboro has to offer, this raffle is not to be missed!

Ships Company Yard Sale & Online Auction

The Online Auction happens in the spring of every year, closely following our Season Launch. Later in the spring, the Ship runs a giant Yard Sale on our Deck.

Ships Company Community Showcase

The Community Showcase occurs on the last day of our summer Drama Camp every year and is a chance for the campers to share what they created during their week at camp. We are very lucky to live in a vibrant artist community and the community showcase always pulls a variety of local talent – promising to be a wonderful evening for all.

Ships Company Escape Room

The Escape Room runs every fall for two weeks. A custom designed escape room is created in the theatre after the summer season has wrapped up and teams of 4-6 people take turns doing their best to solve the puzzles in the room before their time limit is up.

Carols & Cocktails

At the start of the Holiday Season The Ship runs a holiday event with food, custom themed cocktails and musical acts.  The night is capped off with a sing-a-long to our favourite holiday tunes and is always filled with merriment and cheer.

Opening Night Gala

On the opening night of our two Main Season shows we have a post-show party on the deck with a big band, food and refreshments.

Night Markets & End of Season Party

To celebrate the end of our season, in late September, we host a big bash on the deck. Along with live music, a bar, we also run a night market with a variety of goods from local artisans, crafters and farmers products for sale

Ship’s Community Deck Programming

We now offer programming on the deck of The Ship throughout our summer season. Deck programming includes line dancing, yoga classes, book readings, movie nights and more! Our newly opened Starboard Café is a great place to grab lunch and refreshments any day of the week including during our deck activities.
