Picnic Plays!

Picnic Plays are back again this year and are coming to a community near you. Picnic Plays is our outdoor theatre series for all ages, which we offer as a pay-what-you-can experience, making it accessible to families and bringing the community together to enjoy a play full of imagination, laughs and sunshine. Picnic plays will play to communities across Cumberland and Colchester counties, including Five Islands, Truro, Joggins, Advocate, and right here in Parrsboro. 

This year the Ship’s Company Theatre is teaming up with The Fundy Geological museum to present The Lil’ Villains Theatre’s DinoStories playing along the Fundy shore from August 7th to August 11th, 2024!

Did you know that Dinosaurs ate porridge? Or lived at the top of beanstalks?? Or liked wearing your grandma’s pajamas?? It’s all true! Join our super special theatrical presentation for tiny geniuses and their families, and hear the most exciting secrets and stories of the prehistoric era! Dinostories has something for storytellers and explorers of all ages!
